Grey's anatomy super freak reveiw

Overall, this third episode of Grey's was amazing. In my opinion, this show is back to bringing it's A-Game. I'm loving it.

  • The medical cases. Tree bark guy? Totally disgusting, but it was hilarious to watch Bailey freak out just moments after delivering a lecture on keeping your cool around patients. A spider crawled out of the man's weird horn thingies! That's just gross!
  • April and Jackson have grown on me to and im sure that every one in the hospital has to because their sitting with Seattle grace people at lunch and how would April know that Jackson wakes up in his sleep and screams every night is she a stalker or something
  • Lots of love problems this week! I try to feel bad for Teddy, but instead I just feel indifferent. I thought Arizona's insensitivity about Cristina's situation seemed out of character. The most heartbreaking thing for me was seeing Lexie realize that Mark loves her, then going to his place to catch him making out with Derek's sister. I want them together! Or I just want Mark happy. Ack!
  • Speaking of Derek's sister, I loved that story. Derek is a bit of a changed man, what with the speeding and the getting caught by the po-po. But wanting to protect his baby sister from pain was classic McDreamy. It's nice to see Patrick Dempsey getting interesting storylines, they've always relied more on his hair than his acting chops. He's been good this season.
  • Karev's aversion to the elevator was a great way to show the more subtle effects of PTSD. Chief's line of "Karev. You stink. Now go take a shower," had me cracking up, but watching him convince Karev to face his fears was really touching.
  • In a more serious case of PTSD, Cristina asked Owen if he'd still love her if she wasn't a surgeon. You have to give Owen credit for giving the best answer possible - essentially yes, he'd love her no matter what. But would she love herself? Derek is taking responsibility for her recovery because she saved his life, but it doesn't seem to be working. (Also, he's worried about her because she and Meredith are like Twins or something!. They feel each other's pain.) Having her redo the surgery she'd performed on him on a cadaver was a good idea, but will it be enough? Has she flamed out?

What did you think of the episode? Is it safe to say that Grey's is officially good again? Will Cristina ever get better?
